Oropesa del Mar is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It has a population of 10,000 inhabitants that rises up to 100,000 during the summer season due to the large influx of tourists traveling from different parts of Spain and the world attracted by the benefits and kindness of the climate, the good quality of its beaches and mountains, and one of the most important resorts in Europe: Marina d'Or.
It is perfectly connected to important capitals like Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid through freeways, highways and high-speed trains. The airport of Castellón "Costa Azahar" located at 40 Km from Oropesa was recently opened and already has alliances with the denominated "Lowcost" airlines from which is expected a significant growth in tourism from the Northern Europe countries.
